Rooted in Strength: Character Building for Women in Construction (Trades)
Mentorship Webinar Session Registration Form – Fill out form
Session Description:
This session explores what it means to build strong inner character while staying grounded in who you are. In male dominated fields, women often feel forced to choose between fitting in and standing out, between being respected and being real. This session invites participants to reflect, connect, and grow through stories of women who’ve done just that. We’ll focus on building confidence, setting boundaries, embracing leadership in your own style, and developing character traits that allow you to succeed without selling out. You don’t need to change who you are, but you may need to strengthen the core of who you are.
Goals:
- To help participants define what “character” means for them personally and professionally.
- To normalize the experience of women feeling like they must “harden” or change to survive in construction.
- To provide practical tools for building confidence, setting boundaries, and staying true to your values.
- To share stories and strategies from women who have remained authentic while advancing in the trades.
- To create a safe space for vulnerability, self-reflection, and peer support.
- To empower participants to lead from a place of rooted strength, whether they are loud or quiet, tough or tender.
