Manitoba - Millwright Regional Council Introduction to Millwrighting Program
The Manitoba Millwright Regional Council Introduction to Millwrighting (ITM) Program is an 8-week pre-apprenticeship program presented in partnership with Build a Dream, the Millwright Regional Council, and UBC Millwright Local 1443. The 8 weeks are divided into 4 weeks of job ready training and a 4 week paid work placement.
The in-class training will run from June 1st – June 26th, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the UBC Millwright Local 1443 Training Centre. This program offers funding and wrap around services to support under-represented groups looking to enter the millwright trade. The training will provide the necessary knowledge and support required to apply for a millwright apprenticeship.
